All in or not at all...

Researching how my family ended-up in Massachusetts... clueless, barely knew where to start. Then I had my DNA tested on 23andMe. Never did I ever think beyond the few relatives in my family circle.... 23andMe was showing I hand hundreds of distant cousins and many 3rd-4th cousins and even a few 2nd cousins ! Like so many I was completely confused "again"! I was only interested in surnames (family names) that I was familiar with.

AuthorThroughout my childhood I was a bit confused and jealous whenever a person especially a young person commented (bragged) about his or her ancestors... and because I lived in Massachusetts... the comment that got my attention was "my ancestor was on the Mayflower". Growing up my 'top 10 list' of things to do was find out somehow... my roots... where did my great grandparents come from and why did they move\ migrate to? I didn't really know the story of my grandparents... I thought my family was VERY small... cousins and all! I was so wrong.
